MY WRITING AIMS - HOW IT ALL BEGAN:
Lois Bird-Maddox founded 'Relax & Write' UK Creative Writing Courses in 2000, when she was looking for
a quiet place to write away from work and house chores whilst on holiday in Spain.
She enjoyed the places she visited, staying in family hotels. The food and wine was good and the
scenery inspiring. So why not share it with her fellow writers? So began 'Malaga Workshops' - named after the airport you must arrive at!
Lois is bilingual English-Spanish and knows Spain
well. This makes organising the Holiday Breaks so much easier.
The 'Relax & Write'
UK Weekend Courses are named 'Relax & Write' to distinguish them from the Courses in Malaga Spain. They began
soon afterwards and give an opportunity to many delegates to enjoy writing, without the need to travel far.
The Courses do not clash with other organised Writing Schools and are not held in the Summer or during School Holidays,
Easter or Christmas time. They are held mostly in October, March and May.You can pay by installments if this is convenient.
The Course Leaders are Lois' friends and colleagues. They are all established writers, with excellent teaching experience.
The Courses are informal and fun and suit all levels.
